Includes manual and certification

The Emergency First Response program is a basic medical first aid course which covers training for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Rescue Breathing, Emergency First Aid and Secondary Care.

As one of the foremost international CPR and first aid training companies, Emergency First Response gives you the confidence to respond to medical emergencies — not just in the diving world, but in your everyday world with your family, friends and coworkers.

You will learn the skills required to deal with everything from electrical accidents, to road traffic incidents and diving emergencies. The course is approximately 6 hours and includes a video, theory and practical application sessions.

This first aid program is a pre-requisite for the PADI Rescue Diver course, but can be completed at any time during your training and is also available to non-divers.

Here at Blue Corner Dive we teach you additional skills of emergency oxygen administration and how to use an Automated External Defibulator (AED) which are now common in airports, hotels, and shopping centres.

Rescue

Theory, pool and open water dives

The PADI Rescue Diver program develops your knowledge and skills so you can confidently and effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving accident situations and render first aid. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level and will develop you into a more self-reliant diver. Although this course is challenging, many divers say this is the best course they’ve ever taken!

Training includes theory sessions, skill training, and realistic scenario practice. Skills include assisting a panicked diver, dealing with an unconscious diver, missing diver searches and providing emergency oxygen.

To enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver program you must have successfully completed Emergency First Response (EFR) or a similar sanctioned program in CPR within the past 24 months, or take it with us at any of our dive centres.

Please read and complete the PADI Medical Statement prior to your arrival.

(Must be at least 12 years old and hold a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certificate or equivalent)
